About the role#
Arlington/Roe offers a summer internship program for students interested in the insurance industry. This program provides hands-on experience and professional development within a family-owned organization. You will gain insight into the role of a managing general agent and wholesale insurance broker in the Excess and Surplus Lines marketplace.
What you'll do#
- Complete rotational learning through various specialty divisions.
- Learn from underwriters, brokers, company representatives, agents, and management.
- Observe how different departments within the organization collaborate.
- Understand the daily functions of a wholesale insurance broker.
What you'll need#
- A 3.0 or better GPA.
- Current enrollment in a business-related major.
- Preference is given to students with an Insurance and Risk Management major or minor.
- All class levels are welcome to apply.
- Submission of an application, resume, cover letter, and transcripts.
Location & details#
- The position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The program runs for 8 to 10 weeks, from early June through mid-August.
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
