Student Account Representative

About the role#

Arizona State University is seeking a Student Account Representative to join the Student Business Services team. This full-time position provides prompt and accurate assistance to students regarding their account status, including tuition, billing, and collections. This role is based in an office setting and requires on-site attendance.

What you'll do#

• Provide extensive customer service to students via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Research account activity to identify and resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate department.
• Process various transactions, including waivers, charges, and credits.
• Prepare account reconciliations and departmental reports using software such as PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office.
• Develop and create written correspondence in response to student inquiries.
• Maintain and update departmental procedures related to assigned accounting functions.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in a high-volume customer service environment.
• Experience working in an accounts receivable environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage shifting priorities.
