The Center on Reinventing Public Education is seeking a Junior Research Intern to support qualitative data collection, analysis, and research operations. This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to projects focused on the public education landscape, including topics such as deeper learning, college and career readiness, and educational equity.
What you'll do#
- Support qualitative data collection and analysis, including scheduling interviews, observing sessions, and summarizing findings.
- Contribute to theme identification and pattern recognition across interview and survey data.
- Manage contact data and draft outreach communications for project campaigns.
- Review school nominations and maintain data quality assurance.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain proactive communication with supervisors regarding project progress and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Associate's degree and one year of experience appropriate to the field. (Note: Graduate assistant, intern, and part-time positions are counted as half-time for experience equivalency).
- Completion of at least one academic or work project involving qualitative research methods.
- Experience coordinating communication across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, such as Excel, Google Sheets, or Airtable.
- Demonstrated interest in education policy and educational equity.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Communications, Public Health, Human Resources, History, or Data Science.
Location & details#
- Location: Tempe, Arizona (On-site).
- Schedule: Part-time.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
