About the role#
As an Information Security Engineer Intern, you will work directly with our security team to support live operations, cloud architecture defense, and compliance automation. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to security projects and analyzing enterprise threats. This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia, where you will collaborate with peers and mentors in an office environment.
What you'll do#
- Execute continuous monitoring to ensure alignment with internal security controls and compliance standards.
- Identify, design, and implement automated processes for internal and external security reviews.
- Assess current security risks and track emerging vulnerability trends across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.
- Partner with technical teams to explain complex security concepts and strategies.
- Assist in the evaluation of risk profiles to support our global information security program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- You must be returning to school after the Summer 2027 internship to finish your degree.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the 10-week summer program.
- Proven fluency in AI and LLMs.
