About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program offers an authentic experience working with the Customer Success team at Appian headquarters. As an Associate Consultant Intern, you will work under the mentorship of a project team to build, deploy, and scale solutions on the Appian platform. This role involves direct collaboration with clients to model, orchestrate, and optimize complex workflows while contributing to the company's work in AI-Powered Process Automation.
What you'll do#
- Build and deploy web-based applications on the Appian platform to support client digital strategies.
- Partner with the customer success team and clients to analyze business strategies and model critical workflows.
- Design change management artifacts and materials to drive user adoption of new digital solutions.
- Collaborate in-person daily with peers and mentors to contribute to team deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Systems Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- A strong academic record and the intent to return to school following the completion of the summer 2027 internship.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule for the duration of the 10-week program.
- Preferred experience includes work with relational databases (such as Oracle or SQL), cloud technologies, and fluency in AI and LLMs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts.

- Modality: This is an on-site, in-person internship requiring 5 days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: This position is paid at $35.00 per hour.
- Sponsorship: Appian will not provide sponsorship for employment authorization for this position.
