About the role#
As an IT & Cloud Intern, you will work with our infrastructure team to support enterprise cloud environments. This role involves working directly on production systems alongside senior engineers. You will gain experience in Kubernetes, Linux administration, and infrastructure automation while supporting systems used by global clients.
What you'll do#
- Deploy and manage KVM/Kubevirt virtual machines.
- Configure Kubernetes clusters and monitor their health.
- Test and document Helm chart deployments and ingress configurations.
- Perform Linux server administration tasks, including patching, log analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Implement OS hardening techniques.
- Create and maintain monitoring dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python.
- Assist with incident response workflows.
- Shadow server maintenance, firmware upgrades, and hardware diagnostics.
- Manage inventory for servers, SAN/NAS storage, and network equipment.
- Update and improve infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and internal wikis.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Linux distributions like Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL.
- Familiarity with virtualization or containerization concepts, including VMs, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience writing scripts in Bash or Python.
- Strong communication skills.
- A self-starting mindset and curiosity for cloud technology.
