About the role#
We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our team in Greensboro for the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on data quality assurance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data that drives our business decisions. You will work within our on-premise data environment to validate information and support our technical operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform source-to-target validation between source systems and the Data Warehouse.
- Validate data outputs following system updates or pipeline changes.
- Write SQL scripts to identify nulls, duplicates, or schema mismatches.
- Document data anomalies and track them through to resolution.
- Write complex SQL queries to support ad-hoc business requests.
- Use the Linux command line to navigate servers and execute scripts.
- Monitor data applications running on Kubernetes by checking pod status and retrieving logs.
- Maintain the Data Catalog and Business Glossary to ensure accurate metric definitions.
- Research data sources to build supplier n-tier maps.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment with basic shell command knowledge.
- Basic conceptual understanding of containerization and familiarity with kubectl.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing, including Star Schema and ETL processes.
- Basic proficiency in Python, specifically using Pandas for scripting or data automation.
- A natural skepticism of data, high attention to detail, and technical curiosity.
- The ability to report bugs clearly and explain data points to stakeholders.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina.
