About the role#
AnaVation is offering a ten-week paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides exposure to government contracting and professional information technology development. You will participate in mentoring, learning activities, and project work. While the internship is remote, the team is based in Huntsville, Alabama, and in-person collaboration is possible. We provide sponsorship for a US Government security clearance to successful candidates.
What you'll do#
- Apply cyber security techniques for offensive and defensive missions.
- Design, develop, and test custom software applications.
- Build technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures like AWS and Azure.
- Assess new application ideas and research competitor offerings.
- Develop applications as part of a team and present a prototype to leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- Current enrollment as a Computer Science major with a graduation date of May 2028.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams and manage your own learning.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Java, Python, NodeJS, GIT, and Agile processes. We also value experience with front-end or back-end development and cloud systems.
