About the role#
Amrize is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 10-week, paid, full-time position based in Midlothian, Texas. You will work on-site at our cement plant to support environmental responsibility and operational compliance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the continuous improvement of environmental initiatives.
- Interact daily with plant employees and contractors to provide guidance on environmental practices and procedures.
- Perform regular environmental inspections, monitoring, and testing of equipment, processes, and emissions.
- Collect and analyze environmental data.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies while promoting a culture of safety.
- Present your project learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach and high energy.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
Location & details#
- Location: Midlothian, Texas.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on-site.
- Work environment: You will be based in a cement manufacturing and production environment with exposure to moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions.
- Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation to and from the worksite.
