About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience for students ranging from rising sophomores to graduate levels. You will work directly with managers to support department initiatives, solve problems, and provide recommendations for improvement. You will operate both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a professional business demeanor throughout your term.
What you'll do#
Depending on your assigned area, you may focus on one of the following:
- Analytics: Support enterprise automation and reporting with an emphasis on self-service.
- Data Science: Solve energy industry problems using sensor data, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence.
- Automation: Use Robotic Process Automation to handle manual, repetitive user processes.
- Applications & Business Solutions: Develop software as part of an agile team and perform proactive application support.
- Infrastructure & Operations: Deploy technology infrastructure solutions, including computing, storage, data networks, databases, and middleware.
- Telecommunications Construction: Design and engineer fiber optic cable or build telecom sites, including towers, power systems, and electronics.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least your freshman year in a business administration, computer science, or job-related program.
- A minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thought processes to develop solutions.
- For Infrastructure & Operations roles, scripting languages, coding skills, and infrastructure technology exposure are preferred.
