    About the role#

    This internship provides practical experience in computer-aided drafting (CAD) within the utilities industry. You will work on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma, five days a week. This is a paid, full-time position that helps you build a foundation for your future career.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and update 3D inventory parts, assemblies, and drawings.
    • Produce and revise 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings.
    • Maintain engineering records, sketches, and facilities documentation.
    • Gather project information from field notes, site visits, technical manuals, and vendor catalogs.
    • Perform mathematical calculations and interpret vendor prints or equipment instructions.
    • Use software including AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, and Vault.
    • Demonstrate ethical behavior in line with company policies.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least one year toward an associate degree in drafting, CAD, or a related engineering technology field.
    • A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Familiarity with conventional drafting symbols and methods.
    • Ability to distinguish colors.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on education hours.
    • Benefits: Paid AEP-recognized holidays and access to a 401(k) account.
    • Physical requirements: Sedentary work involving occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
