About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in civil and structural design. You will work with computer-aided drafting tools to create and update 3D inventory parts, assemblies, and 2D electrical drawings. This role is based on-site five days a week in Columbus, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Create, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, sketches, and equipment documents.
- Gather project information from field visits, vendor catalogs, technical manuals, and team discussions.
- Perform mathematical calculations to complete assigned tasks.
- Use Autodesk software, including AutoCAD Electrical, Civil3D, Inventor, and Vault.
- Read and interpret vendor prints, shop drawings, and equipment instructions.
- Apply Microsoft Office tools to support daily operations.
- Follow company ethical policies in all professional activities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year toward an associate degree in drafting, CAD, or a related field like civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical engineering technology.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Ability to distinguish colors and familiarity with standard drafting symbols and methods.
- Minimum age of 18.
