About the role#
The American Bankers Association is hiring a Cybersecurity Policy Analyst Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time position is based on-site in Washington, DC. The role runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week. This is a paid internship at $30 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Research, analyze, and communicate risks related to emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, and cloud computing.
- Create and distribute surveys for the financial services sector.
- Summarize findings from survey data.
- Help draft comment letters, congressional testimony, and articles.
- Update internal and external presentations.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current graduate student with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical ability to evaluate complex information.
- Knowledge of the financial sector and relevant regulatory requirements.
- An interest in how emerging technology affects cybersecurity and operational resilience.
- Preferred fields of study include Economics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, History, or other liberal arts disciplines.
