About the role#
This internship supports the Missile Defense Agency on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions contract. You will work with project managers, network architects, and engineering teams to support the design, installation, and testing of IT network devices. The role lasts for 6 months and requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Configure and install IT network systems at enterprise sites.
- Follow standardized design and implementation procedures.
- Provide technical contributions to help complete projects.
- Gain hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and technology, including Software Defined Access.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for remote site customers.
- Provide input for hardware and software selection under the guidance of senior engineers.
What you'll need#
- At least 6 months of general work experience.
- An interest in learning the responsibilities of a Network Engineer.
- An active DoW Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- A current DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire.
- Resumes must be submitted in month and year format.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
