About the role#
Amca is looking for interns to join our Business Operations team. You will work on the workflows that keep our pipeline moving by supporting business development, tracking opportunities, and helping execute on growth. This role involves collaborating across engineering, production, and program management teams to identify and pursue new business. Your work will have a direct impact on the company.
What you'll do#
- Support business development and pipeline management processes, including opportunity identification and bid preparation.
- Track and manage active opportunities across our target markets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather the technical and programmatic inputs needed to pursue new business.
- Conduct research and analysis to support business development and program management decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, bids, and outcomes.
- Contribute to process improvements that increase the speed and quality of business operations workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or graduate degree program.
- Coursework or background in Business, Finance, Political Science, Law, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A track record of high performance in professional, academic, or extracurricular settings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in environments with high ambiguity and a high degree of ownership.
- Prior exposure to DoD procurement, government contracting, or defense acquisition.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, defense, or aerospace.
- Note: This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
