Loss Prevention Specialist Intern 2026

About the role#

As a Loss Prevention Specialist Intern, you will join the Security and Loss Prevention organization at a fulfillment center. This 10-week summer internship focuses on providing security services and asset protection for people, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property. You will report to a Loss Prevention Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Finance, and Corporate Audit to implement standardized, cost-effective security programs.

What you'll do#

• Drive Standard Work and Continuous Improvement through a dedicated intern project.
• Ensure internal controls are fulfilled in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Assist with investigations into internal and external theft and fraud.
• Manage access controls within the fulfillment center to minimize the risk of unauthorized data access.
• Coordinate data collection across multiple facilities and conduct analysis to generate strategic and tactical insights.
• Support the implementation of security best practices and evaluate current security processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a conferral date between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Pursuing a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, or a related field.
• Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, oversight of contract security officers, or distribution center loss mitigation.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in public speaking.
• Ability to stand and walk for 10-12 hours, navigate warehouse environments including stairs and ladders, and lift up to 49 pounds.
