Fall 2026 Visual Communication Intern

About the role#

The Visual Communication Intern translates finished window and interior design concepts into educational tools that empower stores to recreate brand visuals with clarity. This role focuses on the intersection of editorial layout, instructional communication, and content organization, ensuring that creative designs are effectively taught and executed across all retail locations.

What you'll do#

• Translate creative direction into step-by-step digital manuals, including build instructions, prop checklists, placement diagrams, and styling guidance.
• Develop instructional video content, including support for script outlines, filming, and editing.
• Organize large volumes of notes and visuals into clean, magazine-style documents.
• Ensure all instructions balance design intent with practical, realistic execution for stores.
• Maintain organized file systems and project folders to ensure documentation is easily accessible.

What you'll need#

• Current junior, senior, or recent graduate status in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Merchandising, Editorial/Publication Design, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in layout and visual organization using tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, or Figma.
• Excellent attention to detail regarding visual polish and written grammar.
• Ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable sequences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
