About the role#
The Merchandising Buying Internship offers an opportunity to gain industry knowledge and skills for a career in retail or fashion. This role supports the merchandising team with day-to-day operations and provides insight into the buying process, including market trends and product selection.
What you'll do#
- Assist the merchandising team with daily business operations.
- Manage the sample collection and gather samples for team meetings.
- Support the team with reporting tasks and the entry of purchase orders.
- Monitor fashion trends and the competitive landscape to inform buying decisions.
- Assist in communications with the vendor community.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior, senior, or recent graduate with a strong academic record.
- Pursuing a degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Strong fashion sense and a passion for product.
- A self-motivated approach and a positive attitude.

- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 20-25 hours per week with open availability for a few days.
