Fall 2026 Textile Design Intern

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term based in our Costa Mesa design studio. You will work directly with the design team to contribute to the creation of seasonal collections, assisting with the design process from initial concept development through to final product creation.

What you'll do#

• Research print and art trends to inform design decisions.
• Create original prints, plaids, embroideries, and graphics.
• Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop and prepare production-ready artwork, including scaling and color callouts.
• Collaborate with the design team to meet artwork needs.
• Produce comprehensive tech packs that include sketches, construction details, and sewing instructions.
• Assist in selecting colors and building seasonal palettes.
• Maintain organized design records, including sketches, prints, and samples.
• Participate in fittings and design critiques to refine prototypes.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Art, Architecture, Industrial Design, or Communications.
• Proficiency in digital or hand sketching and design software, specifically Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Foundational knowledge of fibers and fabrics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
