Fall 2026 Design Intern

About the role#

The Fall 2026 Design Intern will join the design studio in Costa Mesa, California. This role provides hands-on experience in the fashion industry, contributing to the creation of collections from initial concept to final product. You will work closely with the design team to support the development process and maintain design records.

What you'll do#

• Stay current with fashion trends and conduct market research to inform design decisions.
• Create detailed sketches and digital renderings to visualize design concepts.
• Select fabrics, materials, and trims based on aesthetics and functionality.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure samples meet quality requirements.
• Produce tech packs, including construction details and sewing instructions.
• Participate in fittings to evaluate fit and perform necessary adjustments.
• Maintain organized records of sketches, prints, and samples.
• Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback into prototypes.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Art.
• Proficiency in hand or digital sketching and design software, specifically Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Basic knowledge of fibers and fabrics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a detail-oriented approach to aesthetics.
• A passion for women's fashion and trends.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week.
