About the role#
Alta Genetics is looking for a Marketing Communications Intern to join the team for the summer of 2027. This position offers hands-on experience in agricultural marketing, digital communications, and event planning. You will work from May through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support marketing initiatives, campaigns, and special projects.
- Create content including graphics, photography, video, and promotional materials for print and digital channels.
- Assist with planning and executing events, including capturing on-site content.
- Help with social media planning and marketing projects for the Alta Showcase.
- Manage the delivery of content for email, social media, and the company website.
- Organize and maintain marketing assets like templates, photos, and videos.
- Collaborate with the marketing team or complete an independent project based on your skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Marketing, Communications, Agricultural Business, Agriculture, Journalism, or Graphic Design. Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Knowledge of or interest in the dairy and beef industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media best practices.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally.
