About the role#
The Supplier Quality Intern will gain experience within a global procurement organization. You will work alongside suppliers to ensure that components and their manufacturing processes meet established quality standards.
What you'll do#
- Act as a liaison between the plant community, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Provide technical support and coordinate containment activities to minimize the impact of part quality on plant operations.
- Assist with formal 8D documentation, including root cause and corrective action reports.
- Schedule supplier 8D report outs through in-person meetings or teleconferences.
- Investigate quality problems and coordinate the implementation of resolutions.
- Support supplier selection processes, supplier audits, and part qualification activities.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills for working effectively with others.
- Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
