About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. You will work on-site in Portland, Maine, providing administrative support to our team and assisting with daily office operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide general administrative support to the department.
- Assist with support issues and resolve problems in a timely, courteous manner.
- Answer the telephone and route calls to the appropriate team members.
- Operate office equipment including scanners, printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Handle filing and provide word processing assistance as needed.
- Maintain data integrity by entering and updating information in the agency management system.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college as a junior or senior, majoring in Business Administration or a related field.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior related work experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills, specifically 30-35 wpm.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good customer service, listening, and telephone skills.
- Ability to solve problems and manage your time effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
