About the role#
As a Help Desk Intern, you will join the Corporate Services Information Technology team to support approximately 3000 employees. This part-time position involves providing 1st line technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions. You will report to the IT Infrastructure Office Technology Senior Engineer and work 20 to 24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and provide remote technical support for incoming Service Desk calls.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues with employee IT equipment.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Provide one-on-one end-user support through phone or email.
- Pre-provision and build laptops.
- Administer mobile technology tools including InTune, Jamf, and Lenovo Commercial Vantage.
- Perform regular audits and maintain accuracy of company IT assets.
- Triage L1 technical issues and escalate L2 or L3 matters to the appropriate team.
- Create and maintain documentation to support daily Service Desk operations.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in or recent completion of an IT program or certification within the past 12 months.
- Interest in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, Windows 10/11, Mac OS, printers, and networking.
- Beginner knowledge of Microsoft environments, specifically Windows 10/11 and Teams conference rooms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional user experience.
- Ability to work autonomously, take direction, and adapt to feedback.
- Reliability and the ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort using firm-approved AI tools to improve productivity.
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work outside normal business hours.

- This role is based on-site in Dallas, Texas.
- The position is part-time and paid.
