    About the role#

    The Promise Scholars Student Assistant provides administrative support for the Promise Scholars and ACT 101 Program. You will serve as a point of contact for students and visitors while assisting the staff with daily office operations. This role involves mentoring peers, managing office resources, and helping with program events.

    What you'll do#

    • Staff the front desk to greet visitors and answer incoming calls.
    • Handle office correspondence, forms, and document scanning.
    • Participate in the Peer Allies mentoring program to support first-year students.
    • Manage social media accounts and update office bulletin boards.
    • Create event fliers and assist with event preparation.
    • Oversee the Lending Library and loaner laptop program.
    • Run campus business errands and support student functions in other departments.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Albright College.
    • Active status as a Promise Scholar in good standing with the college.
    • An overall GPA of at least 2.7.
    • Dependability and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, faculty, and peers.
    • A professional attitude and the ability to exercise good judgment.
    • Willingness to accept feedback and show empathy toward students facing challenges.
