Platform Engineer Intern

About the role#

As a Platform Engineer Intern, you will join the Platform Engineering Team for a 10-week program. You will build automated operations while monitoring and managing the operational capabilities of systems at Akuna. Each intern takes full ownership of a project and presents their work at the conclusion of the program.

What you'll do#

• Support and design the ongoing growth and expansion of platform offerings to provide scalable, reliable, and highly available systems.
• Work with aligned and partner platform teams to develop a hybrid cloud platform.
• Produce clean, well-tested, and documented code to support production infrastructure.
• Challenge the status quo to help push the organization forward as the technology stack evolves.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Graduation date by August 2027.
• Major GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, networking, data engineering, and security is preferred.
• Ability to solve math and coding problems in a fast-paced environment.
