About the role#
As a DevOps/SRE intern at TransMarket Group, you will contribute to projects spanning the entire technology stack. You will work on systems that automate the building, testing, and deployment of latency-sensitive trading applications. Your work will involve balancing reliability and innovation while collaborating with global technology teams to improve software development and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily support for the firm's proprietary software trading environment.
- Collaborate with traders and the IT team to automate and maintain trading software deployment systems.
- Design and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems to diagnose issues in real time.
- Work on designing applications and platform components to meet automation requirements.
- Maintain continuous delivery pipelines for trading platform components.
- Manage automated provisioning of servers and ensure infrastructure components remain secure and up-to-date.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fluency in Python or another programming language.
- Proficiency with code collaboration tools such as git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Basic understanding of monitoring tools including Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with container-based technology such as Docker and infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
