DevOps/SRE Intern

About the role#

As a DevOps/SRE intern at TransMarket Group, you will contribute to projects across the firm's technology stack. You will work within an in-office team to support, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our proprietary trading environment. This role involves balancing system reliability with technical innovation while working alongside traders and developers to improve software deployment and system health.

What you'll do#

• Provide daily support for the firm’s proprietary software trading environment.
• Collaborate with traders and IT teams to automate and maintain deployment systems, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to diagnose issues in real time.
• Build and maintain infrastructure monitoring to ensure the health of the trading environment.
• Design applications and platform components to meet automation requirements.
• Systematize and document new and existing processes to support IT operations.
• Manage automated server provisioning and maintain software and infrastructure security.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Fluency in Python or another programming language.
• Proficiency with code collaboration tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Basic understanding of monitoring tools including Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with container-based technology such as Docker and infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
