About the role#
Airbus is seeking a long-term, multi-semester intern to join the Strategic Procurement team. This role supports the Data Management Group (DMG) and commodity buyers by organizing procurement information, performing data research, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist strategic buyers with the DMG ticket process, including organizing tickets by program, platform, or part family.
- Conduct research in SAP and with internal customers to gather historical data such as pricing, lead times, and consumption forecasts.
- Support the storage and organization of contracts, price agreements, and DMG information within the Procurement SharePoint.
- Monitor contract expirations and renewals in SAP.
- Assist in sending requests for quotes to vendors and following up on annual price updates.
- Collect and analyze data to streamline procurement processes and propose improvements to department leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program majoring in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Demonstrated completion of a data analytics or supply chain project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for data analytics.
- Ability to work on-site full-time.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in either Grand Prairie, Texas, or Columbus, Mississippi.
- Candidates must be local to the respective area to fulfill the on-site requirement.
- Steel-toed shoes are required for shop floor visits.
