Project Coordinator, Co-op

About the role#

Aecon is seeking a Project Coordinator for a 4-month co-op term starting in Summer 2026. This role supports project management teams by providing data analysis, tracking project metrics, and maintaining technical documentation. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered effectively.

What you'll do#

• Provide management with data and project analysis, including productivity, cost, and progress tracking.
• Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of engineering drawings and related project documents.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding project schedules and updates.
• Support field staff with technical documentation and gather field information for material lists.
• Assist in preparing construction and design estimates and month-end reconciliation reports.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd-year student in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related Construction Management program.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a self-motivated, organized approach to work.
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in the construction or utility industry is considered an asset.
