About the role#
Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Co-op Assistant Coordinator for a design role on a major civil project in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a full-time, paid 8-month co-op position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in completing design calculations and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Support the preparation of project schedules, estimates, and construction packages.
- Manage project documentation, including files, correspondence, and the coordination and submission of as-built drawings.
- Collect field information to assist in the preparation of project bills of materials.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, plotting, and binding.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or technical college diploma program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to work effectively within a large team.
- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $23 - $28 per hour, determined by factors including education, experience, and specific job conditions.
