Co-op, Project Coordinator

About the role#

Aecon is seeking a Co-op Project Coordinator to join the Civil division for an 8-month term. This role supports heavy civil infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area, involving active participation in day-to-day project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and cost control. This is an office and site-based position.

What you'll do#

• Provide management with project data and analysis.
• Track project productivity, costs, and overall progress.
• Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of as-built and design drawings.
• Monitor progress and help prepare job cost reports for management.
• Maintain project files, correspondence, and documentation.
• Gather field information to assist in preparing bills of materials.
• Provide technical support to field staff and assist in the preparation of construction estimates.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a university or technical college program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a large team.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.

• Compensation: $23 – $28 per hour.
