Co-op, Project Coordinator

About the role#

Aecon is seeking a Project Coordinator co-op student to support the ECWE elevated guideway project. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term based in Toronto, Ontario.

What you'll do#

• Provide management with data, project analysis, and job cost reports.
• Track productivity, costs, and overall project progress.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments.
• Assist in the preparation, review, maintenance, and approval of engineering drawings and related documentation.
• Perform quantity take-offs and gather field information for project bills of materials.
• Maintain project files and correspondence.
• Provide technical support to field staff and assist with as-built drawing submissions.
• Support environmental and commercial teams with administrative duties as required.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.
• A valid driver's licence is preferred.
