Co-op, Assistant Coordinator, Aggregates

About the role#

This is an 8-month, full-time paid co-op opportunity for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in Toronto, contributing to infrastructure projects within the aggregates and civil construction sector.

What you'll do#

• Establish and maintain the Site Fill Management System, ensuring compliance with best practices, regulations, and Fill Management Plans (FMPs).
• Manage the collection, storage, and analysis of project data.
• Support daily fill-construction activities to ensure adherence to client requirements and provincial or federal regulations.
• Assist in reporting potential issues and recommending mitigation or corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project coordinators and managers to ensure work is completed according to the established scope.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, geology, biology, hydrogeology, or environmental science. Students in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate resources and solve problems.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Prior internship experience with engineering design or heavy civil construction teams is considered an asset.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $23 - $28 per hour.
