About the role#
AECOM is hiring a Mechanical Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Dallas, Texas. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work under the supervision of a senior mechanical engineer to complete assignments that build your professional skills and knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic technical calculations and design tasks.
- Assist with drafting and setting up project design plans and documents.
- Provide research support for HVAC and plumbing equipment.
- Communicate with vendors and coordinate learning sessions.
What you'll need#
- You must be a US citizen.
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and have completed at least two years of study.
- Recent bachelor's graduates are eligible if they were enrolled in the most recent school term and intend to pursue an advanced degree in the same or a similar discipline.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings and an interest in the design process.
- Preferred: An organized approach to work and an innovative mindset.
