About the role#
As a Digital Media Intern, you will join our Marketing and Communications team to help tell our story. You will focus on creating, editing, and producing video content that highlights our mental health advocacy work. This role offers the chance to learn how a national nonprofit manages digital strategy while building a portfolio of creative work.
What you'll do#
- Create, edit, and publish short- and long-form video content for social media and digital channels.
- Assist with content planning and execution across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Support video production by filming, editing, captioning, and optimizing content for different platforms.
- Collaborate with staff across departments to identify and develop stories about our programs and impact.
- Use Canva and other creative tools to assist with graphic design and content creation.
- Monitor social media trends and content best practices to inform our strategy.
- Help manage audience engagement by responding to comments and messages.
- Support general marketing projects, including asset management and content organization.
What you'll need#
- Experience working in social media and a strong interest in video production.
- Proven video editing skills, including proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software.
- Experience with Canva or comparable graphic design tools.
- Strong storytelling, writing, and communication abilities.
- A detail-oriented mindset and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work well in a team and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Dropbox.
- Current enrollment in, or previous attendance at, a U.S. based college or university.
Location & details#
- This is a remote internship for the Winter 2027 term.
- The position is paid at $18 per hour.
- We require a minimum of 20 hours per week, with a consistent schedule between 9:00am and 5:00pm EST, Monday through Friday.
- This is not a full-time position and does not offer visa sponsorship.
