About the role#
As a Welding Intern at Accelevation, you will learn to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures. You will work with various welding techniques and equipment while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role includes on-the-job training, mentorship, and professional development sessions. Interns who successfully complete the program may be considered for continued employment.
What you'll do#
- Repair and fabricate items using cutting, burning, and MIG welding techniques.
- Monitor the fitting and welding process to prevent damage, warping, or overheating.
- Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts.
- Perform prep work and grinding.
- Conduct quality control and assist with required documentation.
- Maintain and organize your work area and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a relevant program at a career center, vocational school, technical school, high school, or community college.
- A basic understanding of welding safety and operations.
- A strong interest in building a career in manufacturing.
- Willingness to learn and the ability to take feedback.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Miamisburg, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Expected 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts available. Schedules are flexible based on your classes.
- Status: Paid internship.
