About the role#
As an Operations Intern at Accelevation, you will work alongside manufacturing and engineering teams to improve process efficiency and shop-floor performance. You will gain hands-on experience with lean principles while contributing to projects that impact our production environment. This role is based in Miamisburg, Ohio, for the Summer 2027 term and requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Support Toyota Production System (TPS) and Visual Factory initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify root causes of quality or process issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Help implement and sustain Kanban and other material flow systems.
- Support capital equipment projects, including equipment commissioning and process integration.
- Create and maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, or lean principles.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
