About the role#
This Finance Operations internship provides hands-on experience by supporting ABB’s operations through various projects. You will work under the direction of the Senior Business Controller to gain practical knowledge, contribute to team objectives, and develop your professional skills. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial data and create variance reports.
- Research industry benchmarks and financial trends.
- Identify solutions for clients by applying insights about customer needs and company offerings.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Seek regular feedback from your manager and team members to improve your performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and form strategic solutions.
- Ability to organize tasks, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to share information and provide project updates to team members.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- Modality: On-site or hybrid.
- Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
