About the role#
As a Warranty College Co-op, you will support warranty initiatives by analyzing data, investigating field-returned components, and assisting with root cause analysis. You will work with customer warranty systems and participate in product evaluations alongside cross-functional teams. This role provides hands-on experience with technical problem-solving in the automotive industry.
What you'll do#
- Support warranty investigations related to field performance and customer concerns.
- Analyze customer warranty data to identify trends, track returned components, and monitor metrics like claim volume, labor codes, and cost impacts.
- Evaluate warranty claims to identify causes of field failures or customer dissatisfaction.
- Collaborate with Product, Metallurgical, and Gear Lab Engineering teams, as well as Quality departments, to support problem-solving.
- Perform hands-on evaluation of field-returned components, including product teardowns and failure analysis.
- Document root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate warranty trends and investigation results to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or a related field at an accredited university.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 25 hours per week year-round.
- Interest in a career within the automotive industry.
