About the role#
The Social Media & Marketing Intern supports the Philanthropy team at A New Leaf. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, and public relations. You will work under supervision to complete tasks that align with your academic goals and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Create marketing materials to support agency programs.
- Observe and participate in online reputation management and community engagement.
- Maintain the social media content calendar and implement digital strategies.
- Assist with drafting and distributing press releases to learn public relations processes.
- Collaborate with staff and marketing partners on assigned projects.
- Participate in cross-training regarding fundraising and philanthropy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program related to Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Public Health.
- A valid Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to pass a DES or DCS Central Registry background check.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to following all organizational policies and professional standards.

- Location: Mesa, Arizona.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, flexible based on academic requirements.
- Status: Unpaid internship for academic credit.
