See how many supply chain internships are open, which employers hire students, what interns do day to day, and when to apply for summer 2027.

When this guide was written, our supply chain management field page listed 1,842 open supply chain internships for students from 703 companies, and 211 of them were added this week.
That page collects postings open to supply chain management students, so the count is wider than jobs titled supply chain intern. Our operations and supply chain roles page is broader than supply chain alone. It groups operations roles with supply chain roles, and it listed 2,408 open internships from 989 companies, with 454 added this week. A posting can appear on one page and not the other. This guide covers the work, the employers, typical terms and locations, the skills postings ask for, and how to apply for summer 2027. Details come from postings as listed on Intern Insider when this guide was written, except where a sentence names an employer page. The posting you apply through is the final word on its own terms.
Supply chain internships open now#
The United States field page listed 1,742 open internships from 664 companies, and 197 were added this week. The Canada field page listed 101 from 58 companies, and 15 were added this week. The United States roles page listed 2,228 open operations and supply chain internships from 925 companies, with 421 added this week. The Canada roles page listed 170 from 83 companies, with 34 added this week.
Company pages count every open internship, not only supply chain. At the time of writing they listed 53 at Intel, 114 at Lockheed Martin, 188 at RTX, 31 at GE, 33 at Regeneron, 19 at ASML, 69 at Hitachi, 4 at Ace Hardware, 527 at TikTok, 37 at Marathon Petroleum, 49 at Gulfstream Aerospace, 27 at Jabil, 18 at Lennox, and 8 at South Bow.
The roles page has a city page, and those counts mix operations roles with supply chain roles. At the time of writing it listed 65 open internships in New York from 44 companies, 37 in Houston from 31 companies, and 29 in Toronto from 18 companies.
What the work involves#
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals defines supply chain management as the planning and management of sourcing and procurement, conversion, and logistics, including coordination with suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers. The same page treats logistics as the part of that work concerned with the flow and storage of goods, and it lists transportation, warehousing, inventory, and supply and demand planning among typical activities.
Open postings split the work by team. Procurement seats follow purchase orders and suppliers. Planning seats follow demand and schedules. Warehouse seats follow the movement of goods. A few seats sit on the systems those teams use.

The GE Vernova PCS sourcing internship is on the GE page. The title uses PCS and does not spell it out. It is paid, on-site, and full-time for Winter 2027 in Findlay Township, Pennsylvania, for a rising junior. The posting describes procurement operations, then strategic sourcing, then a capstone for leadership. The Jabil purchasing internship and the Jabil production planning internship are both paid and part-time, about 20 hours a week, in St. Petersburg or Tampa. Purchasing covers orders and suppliers. Planning covers demand, forecasting, and schedules. Neither listing names a term. The Marathon Petroleum supply chain intern and co-op is paid, full-time, and on-site for Fall 2027 in Findlay, Ohio, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, or Garyville, Louisiana. It may be a sourcing, supply chain, or analyst assignment.
Warehouse work looks different. The TikTok Shop warehouse operations project internship in Houston is full-time and on-site for at least three months, at least four days a week, with five days preferred. The posting says review is rolling, and the work is inventory, picking, packing, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. Lennox's supply chain technology internship in Richardson, Texas, is paid, on-site, full-time, and marked rolling. It covers supply chain systems and a technology roadmap.
Terms and locations#
Summer 2027 is already on Regeneron, ASML, Ace Hardware, and Hitachi Rail in Pittsburgh. Gulfstream's collegiate associate internship is paid and on-site for 10 to 12 weeks in Savannah. South Bow lists two paid, full-time summer student terms of four months starting in May 2027, one in Houston and one on-site in Calgary. RTX allows Winter 2027 or Summer 2027 on the same posting.
Marathon is Fall 2027. GE Vernova is Winter 2027. A separate Hitachi internship in Toronto runs January 2027 through December 2027, hybrid and paid, on automation tools for supply chain work. It asks for current enrollment, Python, and at least one academic term left afterward. Intel and Lockheed Martin do not name a term. Hitachi Rail's early careers page describes a railway business in vehicles, signaling, and maintenance, and says the internship program offers up to twelve months. The Pittsburgh listing is the shorter summer term.
The Summer 2027 page listed 19,693 open internships from 2,782 companies across every field. The Winter 2027 page listed 5,698, and the Fall 2027 page listed 739. Those counts are not supply chain counts. Use them to browse a term, then come back to the field page.
Skills and coursework employers ask for#
A supply chain major is common and not universal. Intel's undergraduate listing asks for current bachelor's enrollment in supply chain management, business administration, or engineering, and it names industrial, civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering, plus computer science. The Intel graduate listing asks for a master's or Ph.D. in a similar set of fields, hybrid and paid, at the same five locations. It does not repeat the sponsorship line from the undergraduate posting. Our mechanical engineering internships guide covers engineering roles outside this field. GE Vernova asks for a rising junior in supply chain management, business administration, finance, economics, industrial engineering, or data analytics. Ace Hardware asks for senior standing in supply chain, economics, business administration, analytics, finance, or a related field. Marathon asks for a degree-seeking student with bachelor's level coursework in purchasing, supply chain management, industrial distribution, integrated supply management, or logistics.
Excel is on most listings we read. GE Vernova asks for VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization, and it names SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. The posting does not spell out SAP. Hitachi Rail asks for SAP, Excel lookups and pivot tables, and basic Power BI. Lockheed Martin asks for Excel and for familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or material requirements planning (MRP). Jabil and ASML ask for Excel. TikTok asks for Excel and treats Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, Tableau, or Power BI as a plus, along with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. Lennox asks for Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. It also lists a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience, so read that line next to the degree line.
GPA is not on every posting. RTX and Regeneron prefer 3.0 or higher. Gulfstream requires 3.0 or higher on your resume. Intel's undergraduate posting does not state a GPA.
Work rules differ by employer. Intel's undergraduate posting bars Intel immigration sponsorship. Lockheed Martin requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a United States government security clearance if required. RTX requires United States citizenship and does not offer sponsorship. ASML requires United States work authorization without employer sponsorship. Marathon requires authorization to work in the United States on a full-time indefinite basis. Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship. GE Vernova asks you to work in the United States for an unlimited time without sponsorship. TikTok's early careers page says internships are only open to current students enrolled in an accredited academic institution.
How and when to apply for summer 2027#
Summer 2027 supply chain internships were already posted when this guide was written. Apply while the listing is open, and recheck the field page on the day you submit.
RTX is the listing in this guide with an employer deadline: 8 December 2026. Where a posting states no employer deadline, Intern Insider shows a recommended apply-by date, and that date is not the employer's. For the listings marked new in this guide, other than RTX, that recommended date is 1 November, 2 November, or 4 November 2026. Gulfstream was posted earlier. Its recommended date is 8 December 2026. TikTok's Houston posting says review is rolling. TikTok's early careers page says most internship recruiting opens in August and typically concludes by May of the following year, while Project Intern roles are open year-round. The Houston title is a project intern, and the page says the limit of two Early Career applications per period does not apply to Project Intern roles.
ASML's careers page says most electronic devices people use daily are possible because of its lithography systems, and that it offers student and graduate seats across technical fields. The Hillsboro listing is one Summer 2027 supply chain seat.
