Elkay interns will apply the skills and knowledge developed in college while contributing to exciting real world projects! The Industrial Engineering Intern will assist the Engineering Manager with various projects to support the manufacturing plant by performing the following duties:Optimizing workflow by process mappingEliminating bottlenecks to increase efficienciesRedesign/optimization of layoutsConduct line balance review of assembly linesExecution of time studies and standards developmentThe student will gain experience in the day-to-day activities and project work done by a typical industrial engineer. We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college who are interested in working in a dynamic and engaging work environment to participate in our internship program. Students completing their freshman year may apply, but we prefer students already into their core curriculum.
