About the role#
Zettabyte is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 term. You will build systems that power our GPU cloud platform. You will contribute to production code across backend services and cloud-native infrastructure alongside our senior engineering team. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain cloud-native services and tooling for our GPU cloud platform.
- Use Kubernetes to manage, schedule, and optimize GPU workloads across clusters.
- Design and implement APIs, automation scripts, and internal tools to improve platform reliability.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and research teams to ship features.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor IDE, and ChatGPT to write code.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Python, C, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud-native technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and Linux or Unix environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly in writing and code.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and systems.
Location & details#
- This role is based in the United States.
- Work modality is remote or hybrid. Hybrid schedules include 3 days in the Palo Alto office and 2 days working from home.
