    About the role#

    Zettabyte is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term to contribute to the systems powering our GPU cloud platform. You will work alongside senior engineers on production code, focusing on cloud-native infrastructure, platform tooling, and backend services. This role involves taking ownership of meaningful projects within an early-stage environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Build and maintain cloud-native services and tooling for our GPU cloud platform.
    • Manage, schedule, and optimize GPU workloads across clusters using Kubernetes.
    • Design and implement APIs, automation scripts, and internal tooling to enhance platform reliability and developer experience.
    • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and research teams to ship features.
    • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor IDE, and ChatGPT to accelerate development and maintain code quality.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • Strong programming proficiency in Go (Golang), Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
    • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud-native technologies.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and infrastructure architecture.
    • Strong grasp of CS fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and systems.
    • Experience with Git/GitHub and working in Linux/Unix environments.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in writing and code.
    • Bonus qualifications include experience with GPU infrastructure, NVIDIA tooling, distributed systems, observability stacks, or open-source contributions.

    Location & details#

    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: Remote and Hybrid (3 days in Palo Alto office, 2 days remote).
    • Status: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: Paid internship stipend.
    • Note: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
