About the role#
This summer internship provides students with hands-on experience and training within the External Communications team at Zebra Technologies. You will gain insight into the business world while contributing to the Social Media team. This role helps you build organizational, leadership, and technical skills while connecting with business contacts. The program is designed to prepare you for potential future opportunities, such as the Marketing Development Program.
What you'll do#
- Create engaging, human-centric, and informative content for corporate social media channels.
- Analyze and evaluate content performance using social media management tools.
- Track industry-specific conversations using social listening dashboards.
- Write and publish social media copy for both Zebra and third-party content.
- Assist with social media preparation for executive thought leaders.
- Support the External Communications team on special projects.
- Manage team-based assignments and practice professional interpersonal skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or English.
- An anticipated graduation date between 2027 and 2028.
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience using social media networks in a professional capacity.
- Basic familiarity with social media management tools like Sprinklr, Sprout, or Hootsuite.
- Exceptional writing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and methods.
