About the role#
As a Space Vehicle Automation Engineer Intern, you will work on active York missions while participating in a tailored training program. You will receive mentorship from a Senior Engineer and take ownership of a specific project designed to be challenging and achievable. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with space hardware and gain experience in real mission operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop, manage, and execute complex test software suites for mission-specific activities.
- Create and run manual and automated test cases, including all necessary documentation and troubleshooting.
- Build automation for test and operational activities to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with technicians, operators, and program managers across the business.
- Work with systems engineering and program management to define project strategies and timelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year engineering degree program with at least one year completed.
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Python or similar libraries.
- Proficiency in Linux, REST APIs, and Git.
- Experience collecting and processing data.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week.
- Interest in spacecraft and space systems.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.
