About the role#
As a Risk Advisory Services Intern, you will work with supervisors and managers in the audit department. You will help execute test plans to check the design and effectiveness of IT controls. This role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Execute test plans to verify IT control effectiveness.
- Prepare request lists using our cloud-based SaaS tool.
- Assist clients in meeting their business goals.
- Perform substantive testing procedures.
- Verify that collected evidence meets testing requirements.
- Handle electronic filing and review documentation.
- Collaborate with other interns on a group project to be presented at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Coursework in Accounting, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplary customer service skills.

- This is an on-site role based in Richmond, Virginia, or Winchester, Virginia.
- This position is full-time.
