About the role#
Yazaki is seeking a Co-Op for the Purchasing team in Canton, Michigan. This role offers practical experience and exposure to industry experts within a motor vehicle manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support buyers with data analytics and the improvement of Excel-based templates.
- Assist the sub-assembly team in building better categorization and tracking systems for cables and cable components to aid cost engineering.
- Track departmental cost savings ideas and actual performance against forecasts.
- Provide updates to buyers regarding performance against plan.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program (bachelor’s or master’s) in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work on-site in Canton, MI, for an average of 20 hours per week.
- Commitment to a minimum of two semesters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
