About the role#
Yazaki Corporation is seeking a Co-Op student to join the Commodity Purchasing team. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing environment, offering direct exposure to purchasing operations and industry experts.
What you'll do#
- Assist buyers with data analytics and the improvement of existing Excel-based templates.
- Help the sub-assembly team develop better categorization and tracking methods for cables and cable components to support cost engineering.
- Monitor departmental cost-savings initiatives and track actual performance against forecasts.
- Provide updates to the purchasing team regarding performance against established plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work on-site for an average of 20 hours per week.
- Commitment to a minimum of two semesters.
