About the role#
As a Retirement Actuarial Intern, you will join our consulting team to support global organizations in managing their employee retirement programs. You will work alongside industry consultants to determine the right approach for designing, funding, investing, and governing defined benefit or defined contribution plans. This role provides direct exposure to client work and helps you build technical expertise in the retirement consulting field.
What you'll do#
- Perform real client assignments that require data analysis and drawing conclusions.
- Present your findings and results to team members.
- Learn about the services provided to our clients.
- Develop your technical knowledge and understanding of the industry.
- Work on tasks that involve designing and managing retirement plans.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
- Prior work experience demonstrating technical or client service skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and cooperatively in a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
- Candidates should graduate between December 2027 and August 2028.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship with an hourly rate of $28 to $35.
- The role is based in either Atlanta, Georgia, or Arlington, Virginia.
- We operate on a hybrid work model, requiring a mix of remote and in-office work.
- You must be within a commutable distance to one of our office locations.
