About the role#
As an intern in the National Processing Group, you will join the Actuarial Delivery Group within our North American Retirement business. You will contribute to retirement valuation and special projects while gaining insight into retirement plans and actuarial operations. This role focuses on operational excellence and system expertise. Please note that this position does not involve an actuarial exam program, and we are looking for candidates who are not interested in pursuing future actuarial exams.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage in training sessions.
- Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports.
- Analyze data and reconcile pension plan participant information.
- Calculate pension benefits using established spreadsheets or our proprietary system.
- Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements.
- Support ad-hoc special projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Respond to communications and requests effectively.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within client teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a client-delivery orientation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
