About the role#
The Actuarial Delivery Group (ADG) at WTW focuses on operational excellence and systems expertise within the North American Retirement business. As an intern, you will contribute to retirement valuations and special projects while learning about retirement plans and actuarial work. This role is for those who are not interested in pursuing future actuarial exams, as the ADG does not participate in the actuarial exam program.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage in training sessions.
- Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports.
- Analyze data and reconcile pension plan participant information.
- Calculate pension benefits using spreadsheets or proprietary systems.
- Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements.
- Support special projects as they arise.
- Work with colleagues to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Respond to requests and communications efficiently.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a program with heavy quantitative emphasis, such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior work experience demonstrating technical or client service skills is preferred.
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is preferred, though not required.
- Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
